A while back, I registered dc-stories.org to be part of the City Stories Project. As usual, I had grand visions, but they never materialized into anything. I had the preliminary website on the same webhost as my regular site, but recently the domain expired and I didn’t bother to renew it. (Unlike missakins, I wasn’t smart enough to solicit somebody to take it over!)

I checked up on the domain today, and it’s already been taken. dc-stories.org now goes to Pay Site Guide: Your Guide to Great Porn - go figure.

deviantART is a wonderful collection of graphics, from wallpaper to skins to prints to all kinds of yummy goodness. One feature that paid members get and free members don’t is searching. I have been browsing through the photo manipulation wallpaper archives for a couple of weeks now, and I’m over the 9,000 mark. That means I have seen more than 9,000 wallpapers in that category alone. I really, really want to be able to search. I’d like to search for Hello Kitty, kayaking, Neopets, trains, all kinds of stuff. But I can’t, because I don’t have a paid membership.

At least…I didn’t. But now, thanks to the gracious Suki-, I am a deviantART subscriber! I had an Amazon gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket, and I was considering offering it in exchange for a DA membership. I was hoping for a three-month membership, which would mean $1.05 in “profit” for whoever bought it for me, in exchange for the certificate. I made the proposal, and Suki- actually offered me a membership…and let me keep the certificate! I am on cloud nine at the moment, and I can’t wait to dive into DA in more depth. Thank you, Suki-!
