I was catching up on some old reading and read the Washington Post magazine article The Red Sea. A lot of it was disturbing to me, because of things like two of the most prominent high-rises in Oklahoma City lighting their windows at night in the shape of a cross. But this quote amused me:

“I’m proud to say we’re against the Lion’s Den [an adult store in Abilene], and that we don’t like that kind of pornography.” He shouldn’t have to wonder how to explain to his granddaughters what goes on next door.

So, Mr. Bruce Owen, what kind of pornography do you like?

My girlfriend and I just saw a commercial for ScentStories, a product from the makers of Febreze. The $35 player accepts individual scent discs ($6) and plays such scent sequences as “exploring a mountain trail.” I’ve come up with a new one for the line: Fuck.

It starts out with some cheap perfume, something really tawdry. The next scents are garlic and mint, because while they’re kissing it comes out that one of them has brushed their teeth and the other hasn’t. The musky smell of an aroused woman comes next. Somewhere in the middle of all this comes a faint smell of sweat, just a light body odor produced by two people getting hot and heavy. The smell of semen comes on suddenly…and the story ends with a whiff of cigarette smoke.

Somebody posed this question on an anonymous smut-related mailing list: “anyone know of a site explaining what would be a good strap-on dildo to buy, and tips and tricks on how to use it?” and other members on the list directed them to me! I love being a local answer gal for things like this. I thought I’d share the advice I gave here, too, but it is sex-related so I’ll hide it. Don’t click to read it unless you really want to hear - it’s not raunchy, but it is explicit.
