I’m very excited, because I’m working on a cool new project with the lovely Zille! I’m taking over CyDy Blog, because Zille likes my web design and writing skills. The page itself is still what the previous blogger developed, but I’m doing work in the background and I’ll be going live soon. I’m especially glad to have this project partly because DykeWrite, which I wrote for many times, seems to have gone belly-up. But this project will allow me to exercise a lot more of my geeky muscles, and I know it’s going to be fun! I’m bursting with pride to have joined the CyberDyke Network (yes, that’s an affiliate link), which I describe as a collection of high-quality adult websites produced by queer women, for queer women.

Okay, I am just dying to figure this out! I found this image at Queer As Sims:

This female Sim very clearly has a strap-on dildo. While I was able to develop a loving relationship between two female Sims, I never took it quite that far! I was able to find The Nude Sims Page at AdultGameReview.com, which references a page called the Wage of Sim that had erect male Sim skins. Unfortunately that site seems to have closed down long ago, though there is a CCS Wage of Sim Project that has some of the old files, but I’m not sure if the erect males are there - most of what I could see was clothing. (Nice clothing!) But an erect male isn’t the same thing as a female with a strap-on. (No, really!) Where on earth did that mesh come from?!

Added, 11:45am next day: Mystery solved! I found a complete and working zip file called “strap_on_girl.zip” in the Adult Simz Stuff group. If anybody wants it, let me know! It comes with the same purple dildo pictured above, for all three female skin tones.

After seeing a brief entry by Maki, I found out about Delia Day. To be honest, I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of her sooner, given all that I know about similar lifestyles. A short summary is that for more than a decade she was a slave, and documented her entire life on a website. On December 2, 2003, she shot and killed her owner; the charges were dropped after the court decided it was self-defense. I spent more than three hours reading her site last night, and I’m still reading this morning. (Not on her site - I’m at work - but other places around the web.) The biggest collection of links and information is a heavily-commented-upon entry at Seat of the Revolution.

I don’t have any problem with the way she lived her life, and I do agree with the commenter on that site who said that a death was the only way out of the relationship. A page on her site says “Over the years my captivity and my ultimate dependency on my owner for everything has increased more and more. I suspect eventually it will be absolute, which is a goal my owner does express and works patiently and methodically to overcome the practical challenges to facilitate it.” I find that really, really unhealthy. What if her owner had a heart attack and died? What if he was in a car accident and hospitalized, possibly needing her care in the future? How could she possibly be so dependent on a single mortal person? For that matter, now that he’s dead, how is she surviving?

I have a lot more reading to do, and a lot more questions I wish I could get answers to. I’m probably going to write an E2 node about this.

Okay, I know this is kind of a weird topic for me, so I’ll explain briefly how I got there. I was reading Literotica’s GLBT forum (which I moderate), and there was a thread about male blow-up dolls. Somebody linked to Charlie, who is made by the Realdoll company, Abyss Creations. I’d never really seen a realdoll before - never much cared to look - but Charlie was so realistic that I started browsing the rest of the site. Okay, now this is just hilarious. Via a Scientific American article on dopey patents, I found the November 26, 2002 patent for a Semen taste-enhancement dietary supplement. It can be viewed in its entirety by searching the USPTO for Patent #6,485,773. Here’s the second-best part:

Now this is a cool website. I used to know people. At the age of 19, I was acquainted with several sex-positive activists, writers, and artists. I had one person to thank for that, really - my girlfriend’s ex-husband’s current partner, who happens to be the very-multi-talented Hanne Blank. Now that I think about it, it seems part of the reason I miss the associations is because they are all so beautiful. I’ve always adored people I find attractive, and wished for some connection - actually having one is such an affirmation to me. Also, having seen them in such erotic poses reminds me that I could do that - I would - if only somebody wanted me to and gave me the outlet. (We’ll see what happens with DarkPlay.)
