So my friends Betty and Liane have kind of gotten me into nail polish stuff. I’m not as into it as Betty, but it’s kinda cool. Of course, being a sign language interpreter means I can’t have a lot of fun, but I’m trying.

Today I bought some stuff:

  • Confetti “Debutante” (pictures here, I am not layering it on so thick, this one is for work)
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine “Eggplant Frost” (pictures here)
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine “Sparked” (pictures here)
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine “Caribbean Frost” (pictures here)
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine “Blue Moon” (pictures here)
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine “Hallucinate” (pictures here, over another polish)
  • Milani Nail Art with precision brush “Art of Silver” (pictures here of it in use)
  • Nailene Perfect Tips French Polish Guides

The Wild Shines were on sale for 69 cents, so I went a little crazy. :)

My plan for tonight was a coat or two of Debutante, then the polish guides, and a tip of Bath & Body Works Beautiful By Nature “Sparkling Cider” (which I cannot find a picture of, it’s kind of a coppery glitter polish). But after letting the Debutante dry, I put a polish guide on there, and promptly screwed up the Debutante. My wife says the Debutante would have to dry overnight…the polish guides are really only for bare nails, doing the whole white thing. Yeah, whatever. So I’m going to do Debutante and then a hand-drawn line with the Art of Silver precision brush, just for fun.

Added: Results are here. The left index is kinda broad on the silver line. I did better on the silver line on the right hand than I expected; the precision brush is pretty cool. I think the left thumb is always the easiest one to do, it always looks best.
