I’m trying to decide if I want to get Michael Jackson: The Experience for my Xbox 360, or for the Wii. Getting it for the Xbox would require purchasing a Kinect ($150 + game is $50) which I’m willing to do if the game grades you on your entire body vs. only grading where the Wiimote is – I want to be challenged to do the actual Michael Jackson dances, not just put my hand in the right place at the right time. But if I get it for the Wii, then I only have to spend the $50 because my family members already have a Wii. Now, I don’t have space to do any dancing, mind you…but that’s kind of irrelevant, because whether I’m playing on Xbox or Wii, I will have to make space. So that’s not much of a factor in the choice.
The only thing I can find that really separates the gameplay aspect is but it’s utterly unclear on whether the Kinect grades you on the whole body or just tracks the whole body. Also, I’m not sure about this whole “weird ghostly dancer” thing…the Wii version definitely looks better from that aspect. As for singing along…I’m not sure if I want to or not. I guess I’d like the option, but I am a really bad singer, so maybe I don’t care about it so much? And really, MJ lip synced his performances in most of his later tours, because it is damn hard to dance all out and sing at the same time, so just having that option is silly. But still, if it’s an option, I kind of want it.
I don’t know which one to get! Obviously I’d rather save money, but I want to be graded on my whole-body performance. What to do, what to do??

What did you decide to do?
