We have finally moved into the modern era and acquired an HDTV! We traded our 21″ old-school weighs-zillions-of-pounds TV in for a 22″ HDTV that had been in my father-in-law’s office. He decided he wanted to put his ham radio in there, and the TV and cable box were taking up space. I was amazed by how light it was when I brought it up two flights of stairs – I guess that’s the way technology goes, things get lighter! The old TV has a built-in DVD player, so we put it in the guest room – there’s no cable box in there, but it’s good enough to watch DVDs. I was surprised to realize that our cable box wasn’t HD-compatible, so we had to swap that too. We put the old one in the living room, which has an HDTV, but we mostly only watch movies there anyway – the SD box will be good enough for having the Thanksgiving Day parade play while cooking, or whatever.
I’m glad we finally have a widescreen TV because I hate knowing that stuff has been cut off on the edges! And of course, the improved picture is nice too. I’m looking forward to playing Xbox 360 games that I’ve been unable to play due to being unable to read instructions because they were designed for an HD screen.

Very nice acquisition. HDTV screens are so much better that once you get used to it you can never go back to the old ones.
Ah and believe me, you are going to LOVE to play your Xbox 360 on this TV, the games will look amazing at it.
