I was emailing with my wife and she asked me how my day was, so I sent her everything I did today. She said “you should add this to your blog!” Here you go.
This morning I was escorted to interesting classes by a senior whose ASL is pretty good. We went to things like Fluid Mechanics, Operating Systems, Electronic Properties of Materials…hey, it’s a technical school. After lunch I was supposed to be guided to more classes, but nobody showed up. So I walked myself around to the rooms and stayed a few minutes in each…the only thing I could glean at all was the word “aluminum” in an Architectural Materials course. Ha!
Then I went to ! It’s more than 4 miles away, so I took 2 buses. The first got me to the bus station, and the second got me to the vegetarian place. Well, it would have, if I had known which stop it was! I knew it was “Dohokoen-mae” and I was listening to the announcements…we were in the “Dohokoen” area but I didn’t hear “mae” and then suddenly we passed the place! So I hit the stop button, but naturally the next stop was a mile down the road. So I walked back, oh well.
It was…okay. The food in the restaurant was decent, but I was disappointed in the shop. It was like , but without the food. So just organic shampoo, natural cosmetics…all stuff I don’t need. They sold cartons of soy and rice milks but it was the same brands we have in the US…Edensoy and Rice Dream. I got the veggie burger and then ordered rice balls to go, I had them for dinner and they were really good!
Then I took the 2 buses back, and got off a stop EARLY at the school, hah! I thought we were close enough when I hit the stop button but there was another stop between where we were, and the one I wanted. No big deal. For the rest of the day I have been sitting on my butt! I have watched a lot of Michael Jackson videos because he died a year ago today, etc. I was going to watch the This Is It movie but I was unable to find a version to watch online…will have to watch the Blu-Ray again when I get home. I also watched “Old Dogs” starring John Travolta (who is acceptable) and Robin Williaams (really like him). Despite the pairing, the movie was sucky, oh well.
Tomorrow I was going downtown to meet a friend by 5:00 for a deaf gay event, but he asked me to come down early, so I’m meeting him at 1:00 – I still get to sleep in, though. Tomorrow night I’ll be staying at the (google translate link), where I purchased the Puroland package so I can go to on Sunday!
