Ever wanted to read my grocery list? Ever wanted to read my grocery list in Japan? Well, I just got back from the grocery store and I feel like sharing! (I realize this will interest nobody at all, but who cares.)
- 6 noodle bowls – the cheapest stuff, I only use the noodles anyway
- 8 slices of bread – 97 cents
- quart of pink grapefruit juice
- quart of milk – for cereal
- cookies & sesame cream ice cream – mini cup, freaking tiny, but SO good
- 0 calorie multivitamin jelly – looks pretty much like
- 20 calorie peach flavored dessert jelly – for a snack, same type of package
- 1 red bean mochi – YUM
- 8 pieces inarizushi – $4.95, a couple of meals at least
- regular cornflakes – turns out the ones I got last time WERE frosted flakes
- 5 pkgs of tofu, 5pcs each – for cutting up and putting on noodle bowls
- something resembling cheese – the Japanese are not big cheese eaters, but they have a little. my wife suggested cheese sandwiches. this was the closest I could come to cheese…the picture indicates it’s meltable. 8 slices for $3.27.
- Meiji Black chocolate bar – sometimes you need chocolate
- 2 pkgs cream collon – promised my wife I would bring her some, got another for myself
- 6 apples – a little over $6
And just in case that wasn’t exciting enough, here’s what I got at the dollar store too:
- Scissors
- knife
- bigger spoon
- mixed nuts
- earplugs for when the girls are being really loud late at night (no really, I’m hard of hearing, they’re REALLY loud)
