I am posting this from my netbook at 30,000 feet. Not just typing it, posting it. Delta offers , and there’s a code on the welcome page for first-time users to get a free pass. I assume it places a cookie when you get it, so I will delete that and see if I can get the service again on the flight back. DC to Atlanta is only 1h20m – in fact I think I just felt us start to descend – but the cool factor is phenomenal. And, no offense to the writers of the inflight magazine, but this is much more interesting!
I was even able to call my wife at work using P3 VRS! Finally, deaf people – who can’t enjoy inflight movies because they’re not captioned – can have a benefit on the plane that hearing people can’t! She was just leaving work so I’m glad I caught her. I think both she and the interpreter were quite amused by the fact that I was calling from a plane in flight.
Ain’t technology cool?
That is very cool. What was your connection speed? Any lag at all? Were you able to get a connection on the flight back after deleting the cookie? Just a little curious.
That sounds really good, does it get to the page any quicker?
It is actually really good, I guess the wireless doesn’t affect it then..
Hi,
Sounds good… What are the most adventageous feature of this??
Hello
Thanks for sharing your experience..Its really good.
But please tell me what is P3 VRS?
Thanks
I heard that they are offering internet on planes now. That’s pretty cool. I wonder how they are achieving that.
Thank you for sharing. That’s interesting. I’m curious as to how fast it is.
