Quite some time ago – during the Blogathon – I talked about the shower being redone. I spent a few minutes running around taking pictures, and you can now see . It leaked down into the kitchen, and although that’s been repaired, the shower was never used again. It’s been sitting dormant for about five years; the Bath Fitter guy was surprised that we hadn’t bothered to have it fixed before then. Well, we just hadn’t! As you can see we did some demolition five years ago to figure out what was going on; the mold back there is all cleaned out at least.
I really love this shower, especially because of the built-in seat. The nice thing about Bath Fitter is that they will cover the seat and we won’t lose anything. The multiple showerheads are great too; when my wife and I shower together, nobody will have to freeze waiting to get the water back! We’ve used this shower exactly once, ages ago, when we were housesitting, it’s really a lot of fun. The size is just ridiculous; the shower itself is enormous. There’s also a jacuzzi tub, a separate toilet room with adjacent bidet, and a stupidly large walk-in closet. Did I mention the his-and-hers vanities? My vanity gets to be all Hello Kitty-fied. The bathroom is just astonishing, it really is. Browse around the other pictures to see how the laminate flooring is going and stuff, too!
