More Play, More Work

I woke up at 8:00 this morning and decided to run out and go geocaching. I knew there were two in Ala Moana Beach Park, and I suspected a third, so I figured I’d go there. I took the bus and as I got off, I realized I had forgotten to bring a pen to sign cache logs with. So I walked down the road and got one at 7-11, then walked back to the park.

I found the first cache right away, it was near the entrance anyway. I wasn’t sure of the coordinates for the puzzle cache, so I set off on a walk around the park. I suddenly remembered the second cache I knew was there, and it turned out I was right next to it, so I found that one quickly too. I continued circling the park and suddenly spotted what looked like it must be GZ for the puzzle cache. I spent the next 45 minutes looking for it. It might even have been an hour. I got so desperate that I scared some random strangers, so I decided that was my cue to quit.

I got back to Waikiki and picked up lunch at Ruffage Natural Foods. I went to the hotel room and it turned out :A: was there on her lunch break, so we ate together. When she left, I started on my geography paper, and finished it too – 12 pages in 6 hours.

When :A: was done with work, we got some shaved ice but decided it wasn’t enough for dinner, so we got more to eat at the International Marketplace. I went to the Mexican place and it was surprisingly good! We walked around the shops and then went back to the hotel for some swimming and jacuzzi. :A: thought I was crazy for swimming (she stuck to the jacuzzi) because the weather was on the cool side, but the pool was heated so it didn’t bother me at all. After that we went to bed, and I finished up my bibliography for the geography paper before falling asleep.
