    • I asked the doctor if I should retest because I wasn’t fasting, and she said no. I think my HDL was 55 or something. I’m not happy about this AT ALL so I’m trying to cut back on saturated fat and cholesterol. I got these to try, too, just for kicks. Just when I was beginning to be happy with my body and not feel the need to obsess over every single molecule of food I ate…I have to obsess again. Well, maybe I’ll lose weight in the process. I’m going to miss cheese though; I got some soy cheese and put it on a Subway sandwich this weekend, it was okay.
  • Just spent $150 to change our one-day flight from Kona to Hilo. Look for “kona, hi” on google maps it looks closer but the airport is far. #
    • See, here. Except the airport is actually here, which is apparently a very long drive – Google Maps says over 2.5 hrs but my friends say even longer. So we’re flying into Hilo instead which is supposedly only about an hour drive from the park. :A: is unhappy that we won’t be there after dark, since that’s apparently when stuff looks really awesome, but I’m just excited about going at all.

I don’t have a problem with crazy contacts – I run a group for them on Flickr – but to wear them on TV seems a bit odd. They might not be so bad if they simulate human eyes but I think solid color ones are just weird. I like wearing mine – I have a black pair and a white pair – but they usually disturb people so much that I don’t ever get to wear them.
