I am bummed that we live in a world where somebody would steal one of those ribbon magnets off a car. Which is exactly what happened to me. I suspect it was when I left it in the public garage at the New Carrollton metro to take a bus to New York (to see a friend who it turned out wasn’t getting in until Sunday night, so we missed each other but I hung out with other friends). Normally I assume that a rainbow ribbon is at risk of being stolen, so I put it in the trunk – but for some reason I didn’t this time, and naturally it disappeared. What’s really disappointing is that I doubt anybody would steal a “Support Our Troops” or “God Bless Our Troops” ribbon; I suspect I was targeted specifically for it being a rainbow ribbon magnet. I’m telling myself that it might have been a gay person who coveted it so much they just had to take it, but I really think someone stole it because they hate gays and wanted to punish me (?!) or because they wanted to sell it or something. I’m going to check my car one more time, but I don’t remember taking it off the car, so it seems unlikely that it could be in the car. I was planning to place a Northern Sun order tonight anyway, so I’ll just get their version instead. You can’t keep a good homo down!

People do suck though. I hope whoever did this dies in a fire.
