It must be so nice to live in Europe and be able to travel to fascinating places easily. In the United States, we have a great big expanse of water to cross if we want to go anywhere besides Canada or Mexico. Then again, Great Britain has a bit of water to cross, too. The UK travel site Dialaflight offers (that’s vacations to Americans) for a mid-winter getaway to warmer Mediterranean climes. They have flights for about £100-150 (including tax) to a number of European cities – the fares themselves are actually lower, but the tax brings them up a bit. The best part is that many of these fares are valid for a long time – in the U.S., cheap fares are only good for travel within a very short window with all kinds of blackout dates applying.
