Cocktails

Tonight was Leather Cocktails, part of the Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend event. fairerhiannon picked me up at 1:45 and helped me into my purple corset. I swear something is wrong with that thing…it hurts to wear it, and it shouldn’t. I’m not talking about it being too tight or keeping me from breathing…it hurts my back. I’m not sure what’s up, but wearing it for several hours today left me with back pain, and I’m waiting for the Advil to kick in.

Anyway, first we went to the vendor rooms, but they were such a zoo that we couldn’t really see anything. We went to the International Deaf Leather fundraiser next, and then we grabbed a bite at a Chinese buffet. I kept my portions tiny but I still feel bad for going off my diet…oh well, I was hungry at the time, life goes on. We tried to go back to the vendor rooms again but they had closed, so we just headed over to the location where the Leather Cocktails would be held. We interpreted those – I really need to learn the Canadian anthem lyrics – and then socialized some more and then came home.

I am too exhausted to say much more, and tomorrow we have to be there between 12 and 12:30. That’s not enough time to sleep in and be lazy! Well, maybe it is. Argh, I need to go to bed.
