corsetCorsetCORSETCORSETCORSET

Ahem. My corset from todiefordesigns is here. More to follow.

Okay, it’s later now.
I like it, but it’s far from perfect. The biggest problem is that it’s too long in the front, which is completely my fault because I specified how long I thought it should be. It’s also too big in the front hips. I think if it had come down as far in the back as it did in the front that might not have been a problem, but that’s not the way it is. I’m not getting any reduction from it as far as I can tell, but that might be because my damn weight keeps fluctuating so I couple potentially be a couple of inches different from what I was when we measured it…or maybe we measured wrong in the first place. Or maybe we tied it wrong (it is gapping). Hell, I don’t know. There are a lot of things wrong. But I still like it.

Don’t mind the funky little satin nightie I’m wearing underneath.

Later the same night: I’m quite certain I hadn’t put it on right. After all, todiefordesigns has made many custom corsets, but I’ve never worn one before and A hasn’t ever laced one before. So we’ll try again.

Oh dear, that should be MUCH tighter…

Hmm, been awhile since I did up a corset. Have to remedy that this weekend.

Yes, it looks like the proportions are a bit off. My advice is to find a seamstress to measure you before you order another custome corset.

The one you have is okay, it just might get a little uncomfortable and chaffe a little.

I like the satin nightie too.

Yes, it has to go much, much tighter. It will squeeze your body in ways that do not seem possible. As far as lacing, the two sides should be parallel and vertical, regardless of how tight it is overall. You can achieve this by adjusting the lacing one hole at a time towards the center.

Finally, the best way I found to get the corset tightened regularly once you’ve gotten the lacing adjusted is to have the wearer hold onto something solid — bed post, door frame, kitchen sink, etc. — and then have the person helping them give a hard, fast pull slightly downward and back on the ties. One swift solid motion makes the process much easier.

That’s really pretty! I like the pattern and colors, nice choice!

It makes me wish I lived back in the times when people wore corsets. I read a ton of books where that was the case, so I’ve always wanted to try one myself, but haven’t had a chance!

Because I’m not knowledgable on the concept of corsets outside of my romance novels, Is the idea to wear under something for an hourglass figure? Or just for sexyness? :P hee hee, don’t laugh at the newbie to corset-land :D

So cool, good luck getting it laced right I’d love to see again when you guys figure it out!
