I noticed in the beverage cases at the snack bar at work today, so I thought I’d see what information I could find online. That led me to , where I found these other interesting drinks.
- – Comes in a cool bottle.
- – Have any of you in California or Arizona tried this?
- – It’s just sparkling water, but I have got to get this bottle for my girlfriend’s collection of cobalt blue glass bottles.
- – I’m not sure about an egg cream soda versus a regular egg cream, but I’d love to try the diet version.
- – It’s only available in “select Mississippi and Louisiana cities,” which makes me think it must be special or it wouldn’t be in such limited release. (Ain’t marketing cool?)
- – Somebody actually named this drink bong water! It’s only in Chicago and it comes in four flavors.
- – I heard about these on the Food Network show Unwrapped. Now that they’re discontinued, they go for a lot on eBay.
- – This is the only beverage I’ve ever seen marketed to the gay community. There’s even a rainbow on the package.
- – Unlike Bong Water, this really does have THC in it…but only a little.
- – I appreciate that this comes in diet vanilla and diet chocolate, but the other flavors just shouldn’t exist…an egg cream should be chocolate!
- – I used to get Jones Soda all the time, but it’s fallen off my radar screen. I had no idea they’d introduced a turkey and gravy soda!
- – I just love the name.
- – I don’t think the flavors are particularly innovative, but they did come up with cool names like Gefilte Fizz and Ghoulade (black lemonade!).
- – I only ever tried the Vanilla Orange (I think it was at Québec’s Musée de la Civilisation), and I’d love to get my hands on another bottle. They’re not too expensive on eBay.
- – It’s not the only “aphrodisiac” drink mentioned at BevNet, but it does have a cool Engrish description from the manufacturer.
- – I never even heard of this one: it’s a coffee/cola drink from Pepsi, and was available in regular and diet before it was discontinued. Unlike Crystal Pepsi, there don’t seem to be any bottles of Pepsi Kona available on eBay.
- – A diet energy drink marketed toward women. Very pretty packaging.
- – It’s marketed to kids, but I think the concept is hilarious.
- – The flavor names (like “Lust Lemonade”) are cool, and the package design is neat too.
- – I had one of these grapefruit drinks while we were waiting for our flight home from Grenada. It was actually pretty good.
- – It’s carbonated milk. Huh? Comes in Strawberry Chill and Lemon Vanilla Ice flavors. Huh?
Egg Cream? I’ve never heard of that?!
My sister had one of those Orbitz ones when they first came out, and we set it on her dressor for way too long, and the little balls in it started to look nasty. And then they sunk. LOL!
My favorite “not-normal” drink is Cleary Canadian. The summer I worked at camp, my dad brought me some several times, and it was heavenly. They used to have really pretty bottles; now they are a bit more normal looking instead of unique.
Oh, and the Snapple Elements are kinda cool, too.
At Dinseyworld I tried Vegitabeta- now I am trying to find a way to import it. I liked that soda and the chinese Smart Watermelon.
I used to drink Orbitz all the time. The trick was to catch the balls in your mouth and chew them.
Forgot the name, but there’s this ginger lemon soda that kicks much butt.
But I think you cant go wrong with a pineapple ginger beer, or a regular ginger beer for that matter!
I tried this egg creme drink that’s sold at Stop and Shop, but I found it to be nasty- I bet the real things are better. My boyfriend is fond of a coconut soda sold at the same supermarket chain. It’s just weird.
Snapple Elements were good once, when they were in the glass bottles, but now they taste off.
In my opinion the best lemonade is made by Nantucket Nectars. It’s tart and it has nothing odder than lemons, water and cane suger.
Heh, Forgot this one soda- Faygo. The rap group, Insane Clown Posse sprays the audience with the rootbeer flavor since they are both from Detroit. It’s so a Ghetto soda. Many flavors, including cola, strawberry, grape and vanilla cream. For a while Kmart was carrying it, needless to say my friends and I bought it by the case. Now a few flavors are sold at the clothing store, Hot Topic. Faygo is a staple in any Juggalo/Juggalette’s diet. ^_^
I’m a Detroiter myself, and I must say that Faygo kicks major ass. Man, that stuff comes in so many flavors. They got candy apple now and everything. Gotta love Faygo.
wow thats a lot of weird pop!
Mariann’s very fond of a Japanese “functional drink” called Vegitabeta. It’s a sort of orange-flavored drink loaded with beta-carotene. I don’t much care for it, but….
I love my Faygo! I buy it online now since I moved and can’t find it here anymore!
