Promo was a little bit late with this week’s Monday Mission, but he’s too cute to stay mad at for long.

1. When was the last time you were in the hospital as a patient? As a visitor?
I go to the hospital pretty frequently to work, but I don’t think I’ve ever been an inpatient - even the surgery I had more than ten years ago was outpatient. I don’t remember the last time I visited anybody, either, unless you count clients.

2. Have you ever been put under anesthesia or sedation? For what reason? Did it mess with your mind?
Yes, I was put under general anesthesia for my double hernia operation when I was a kid. More recently, I was sedated for having my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. It was pretty cool, actually - I’d never had the nitrous oxide before, so when they stuck me with the stronger sedative I claimed I could feel the liquid traveling up my arm. I don’t remember anything after that until I was stumbling to a recovery room.

3. Have you (or someone close to you) ever had any major surgery? How did it go?
My double hernia operation was just fine.

4. How about the emergency room? Have you ever had to be taken there, or had to accompany someone else? What happened?
I’ve interpreted in emergency rooms, but I don’t think I’ve ever been a patient there. I did have to go with someone who was mentally unstable, but I don’t really remember the experience.

5. Have you ever donated blood (or other fluids)?
I’ve tried to donate blood, but I get repeatedly rejected for various reasons. When I was in high school, I volunteered with the Red Cross blood drive held at my school, and for a couple of years co-organized it with my best friend.

6. Are you an Organ Donor? How do you feel about having your organs being donated to those in need once you die? Have you or someone you know ever been the recipient of donated organs?
I am an organ donor, because I don’t believe in wasting good parts. One of my former co-workers at the mall was in an auto accident in December 2002 and destroyed one of his ankles; it was partially rebuilt using bone from a cadaver.

7. Do you know any men who refuse, or are too afraid, to go to see a Doctor? Why are so many men like that?
Yes, I do know guys who are like that, but I don’t know why they do it.
