Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

Posted by on February 8, 2003

Through wander-lust’s new directory, I found Shanni, an interpreter in Las Vegas who also runs a design site called Twiggle. I came across Shanni’s entry about passing the RID written test, which is going to be really helpful – I had no idea what was on the written. That also reminded me to mention that last week I sent in my application to join RID as an associate member – something I’ve been looking forward to doing for a long time. Oh, and I finally got my parking permit for Gallaudet – no more meters.

What a great resource! I see what you mean about the certification exam — whew, it does sound hard! You’re very capable when you want to be, though, so I have every confidence that you’ll pass when you’re ready to go for it!

BTW, this entry wasn’t mirrored in your LJ journal. I hadn’t been checking here because your site hadn’t been working properly with the primitive browser I stubbornly insist on using; but I followed the link in your entry about bisexuality just to see if it was working any better, and it came up just fine. Apparently whatever you did when you were setting up the pretty pink Valentine skin fixed whatever the problem had been. :-)
