Here’s my first post using w.bloggar.
This weekend, so far, has sucked royally. I got to the boathouse at 2:50, which should have been plenty of time. I asked the owner where the Atlantic Kayak people were setting up, and he said he hadn’t seen them yet. So I waited. And I waited. I kept waiting. I asked a few people, and nobody knew what was up. I finally went onto the dock and checked the racks where their kayaks are stored (they’re separate from the boathouse’s own supply) and it seemed some were missing. I trudged back up to the boathouse and heard that a cop was wandering around checking cars, and since I wasn’t sure if I’d parked legally (other cars were there too, but one of them was in the middle of getting a ticket) I ran back and got in the car at 3:25. I didn’t see any nearby parking – the whole area was packed – so I gave up and turned back up Wisconsin Avenue to come home. It’s a wonder I made it back safely, as I was pretty upset. Traffic was bad enough on M Street that I was pretty much done crying by the time I got onto the highway, but I was still distracted and there were a couple of close calls. Fortunately A was home when I got back, and she was really comforting while I blubbered. When I finally calmed down, I called the Alexandria store and found out that they’d cancelled the 3:00 tour. They had a trip at 1:00 instead, but hadn’t been able to reach me – of course not: I was online all morning. They were very apologetic, and signed me up for the 6pm trip tomorrow evening.
On my to-do list right now (while A is taking a nap):
Finish Lunatix turns for the day- Look at roller coaster websites (I’m on that kick again)
E-mail to ask when James Marsters is supposed to speak, and if I can do the interpreting- Work on converting livejournal memories into MT categories
- E-mail Mariann about converting journal to www, and where MT will keep its files…maybe also post the question on the Blogomania support forum
- Try to get at least two skins implemented tonight!

I also have to do some cleaning around my parts of the bedroom, as it is a total mess with silverware and trash everywhere and papers unorganized and everything…yuck.
